Whole home renovation and first-floor addition of 3 bedroom semi-detached in Forest Lodge, Sydney, NSW. Completed in collaboration with The Stables and Lux Building.

Our own Federation semi, renovated top to bottom for a family that had outgrown it: a reconfigured ground floor, a new first storey and storage hidden in every cavity I could find. The leather banquette is pure Parisian bistro; it seats a crowd when we entertain, opens onto the leafy courtyard and hides an unreasonable amount of stuff. Upstairs, a skylight sits directly over the bath so you can lie back and look at the stars.

Pink and sky-blue terrazzo in the bathrooms, wallpaper in the master bedroom, bold colour in the boys' rooms. The rest I kept quiet (soft sage joinery, polished concrete, timber, brass) so our collection of original art and ceramics could carry the personality of the house.
