Concept design for a two-storey penthouse addition and exterior remodel.

A two-storey penthouse addition on an existing Manly apartment block, with a facade remodel that brings the whole building into conversation with its street. The Northern Beaches has a quiet Art Deco heritage that most new work ignores; this design draws on it directly, reusing the building's original red clay bricks and picking up Deco curves and geometry in the balustrades.

Inside, the sequence moves from a sociable ground floor up to a private retreat: master suite, freestanding bath, terrace and a roof garden above. The palette is warm and grounded, rosa terrazzo, emerald quartzite, chevron oak, lime-washed walls, and the sustainability is embedded in the material choices rather than worn on the sleeve.
